A big weekend of disapointment approaches...

Well, we've got another podcast for you this week in preparation for a big weekend ahead of us. The new Tweenlight film comes out and will do battle with the Last Airbender to find out who will reign supreme. There's also some sort of holiday this weekend about independence or something, but I don't think it has anything to do with tweenvamps or elemental ninja blasts. We reviewed the film Knight and Day this week, gave you our weekly run down of the box office, talked about some new trailers hitting screens/internet this week, and gave you the weekly rundown on disappointing DVD releases. All in all, it was a pretty good show. The Gaffer and I fought the urge to partake in the heated pizza war going on down the street, those cheesy devils are going to make lard asses out of us!
We heard music this week from the following films:

Contemplate this podcast on the Tree of Woe.

So it's been hot. Real hot. That sticky sort of hot that makes going outside a moist, miserable punishment. So we felt we should play some music from some films that remind us of heat, water, and whatever else my brain managed to connect. We reviewed the films Winters Bone and Toy Story 3, got you up to date on DVD releases, and talked about pixar's fat weekend at the box office. Other things of interest include info about the new Pirates of the Caribbean flick, and news of a remake of Don't Tell Mom The Babysitter's Dead. Is this really how far we've come?

This podcast will live in your hearts and minds forever.

We're back this week with a podcast that pays tribute to some top nostalgic films. With the 25th anniversary of The Goonies, 30th anniversary of Caddyshack, remakes of A-Team and The Karate Kid this past weekend, Robin Hood in theaters now, and Tron: Legacy on the way...we stopped to take a look at the excellent source material that has managed to stay so prevalent in the minds of movie goers. We discussed what makes these movies so memorable, listened to some great music, and reviewed the current remakes of The Karate Kid and The A-Team which are in theaters now. Also we celebrated the fact that Shrek is no longer tops at the box office.
