In true celebrity death fashion, the third in the cycle has completed. Rue McClanahan died today at age 76 from a stroke. Wouldn't be her first one, but I guess no matter how bad ass you are, you can only fight off so many different strokes. (like that sneaky Gary Coleman reference?). With Rue's passing, that only leaves one Golden Girl left, the always entertaining Betty White. Who most recently was entertaining audiences on SNL. Perhaps Betty has slowly been quickening her comedy powers as each golden girl passes on. Who knows? In any case, here's to you Miss Rue. I'll have a mint julep tonight in your honor.
