Shooo-weee! Podcast chock full o' reviews!

Hey gang!

What a show this week! We had tons to talk about since we missed the previous weeks' show due to icy road conditions. Can you believe the studios were locked up? The Gaffer and I braved the danger to make it up there for you, but could only get as far as the stairwell.

We talked about a few deaths, Art Clokey & Eric Rohmer; and reviewed several films Up in the Air, Precious, Invictus, Daybreakers & Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus. This is a show not to miss. SO DON'T!

We heard music from the following films:

Zorba the Greek - Mikis Theodorakis (1964)
Jason and the Argonaughts - Bernard Herrmann (1963)
Sherlock Holmes - Hans Zimmer (2009)
UHF - Weird Al Yankovic (1989)
The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension - Michael Boddicker (1984)

I had never heard it before the show, but the intro to the Weird Al version of Money for Nothing is infinitely sweeter than the original Dire Straits version. I was like "Holy Sh!t is this some rare live version???" Then Weird Al starting singing.

Agreed. If only we could get an instrumental without his "only need to hear it once" voice.
